Configuring Destination Servers

Before you can transmit data to the destination server,  you must configure the server an AIM Destination. Configuring the destination server is performed on the AIM Source Server.

Follow these steps to assign a destination system:

  1. Open the AIM Source Manager component , right-click the AIM Destination Servers and select New Destination.

  1. In the New Destination dialog box, enter the name of the destination system.

  2. If you can link by name, select the Connected By Destination Server Name check box; otherwise, enter the IP address for the destination server.

  3. Select the appropriate Transfer Mode option:

    1. FTP – Select if FTP will be used. (Microsoft IIS-FTP must already be installed on the destination server.)
