Assigning a Logon and Password for AIM Services
AIM Services requires the use of a local administrator account. This can be the same account used specifically for SANmelody software or it can be an account created specifically for AIM use. In any case, the AIM Source and Destination servers must use the same account in order to communicate.
After installing a SANmelody software update or PSP, the same logon and password for DataCore AIM Source Service and AIM Destination Service must be reset before data can be sent from AIM Source servers to AIM Destination servers.
To assign a logon and password for AIM Services:

In the Computer Management console tree, expand the Services and Applications snap-in and double-click Services.

In the Services pane, select the appropriate AIM Service (DataCore AIM Source Service or DataCore AIM Destination Service) and select Properties from the context menu. The DataCore AIM Source Service Properties dialog box or the DataCore AM Destination Service Properties dialog box opens.

Click the Log On tab.

In the Log on as area, select This account and enter the local administrator account name and password.

Click OK.

Start or Restart the service.
