Manually Enabling Snapshots

To generate a single AIM request (marker) from the Source system to take a snapshot of a Destination volume:

  1. Navigate to AIM Source Manager.

  2. In the left pane, select AIM Source Volumes.

  3. In the right pane, right-click on the AIM set, and select Snapshot.

A message explains that when the snapshot marker is processed, the snapshot will be taken on the Destination system. Check the message in the Destination Log file to see if the snapshot was successful.
