Field

 Description

Initiator/Target Channels

Select from available channels from the list. WWN is displayed for Fibre Channel and device address (iqn name) is displayed for iSCSI channels.

Mirror mappings are disabled.

LUN

This is the logical unit number (LUN) of the virtual volume. The LUN is assigned as soon as a mapping is created.

If –1 is displayed in the box and grayed out, the LUN will be assigned after an Apply. The only case where a LUN is listed as unassigned is if the system cannot find a channel to create a path between the two machines involved.

If multiple mappings of a virtual volume cannot be assigned the same LUN due to previous LUN assignments, LUNs can be manually changed in this box. Refer to LUN Numbering Consistency for more information.

Mirror mappings are disabled.

Access Rights

Change the default access rights of the volume. Select Read-Only or Read-Write.

Note: Some application servers cannot use a Read-Only volume.

OK

Saves the changes and closes the screen.

Cancel

Discards any changes.
