Splitting a Mirror
You can change a mirror to two individual linear virtual volumes by splitting the mirror.
Below are the type of mirror sets you can split and whether or not you need to unmap the virtual volume before splitting the mirror.

To split the mirror:

Refer to the table above, to determine if the virtual volume must be unmapped and if the configuration needs to be applied before continuing.

Open the Virtual Volume snap-in.

Right-click the virtual volume to split from the list in the right pane and click Split Mirror from the shortcut menu.

Apply the configuration change.
