Deleting Proxied Volumes
You can remove the proxied volume identification from a disk using the Storage Server snap-in. In order to delete a proxied volume, it must be released from the control of SANmelody software. See Protect All/Release All Volumes for details.
To delete a proxied volume identification, follow these steps:
-
In the Storage Server snap-in, ensure that the proxied volume is not part of any virtual volume.
-
In the Storage Server snap-in, select the proxied volume, and choose Delete from the context menu.
-
Apply the configuration.
If you intend on disabling Proxy Mode, you should remove this disk from the storage server before restarting the system. This will prevent SANmelody software from writing a label to the disk and potentially altering data.
