Unidirectional Single Source to Single Destination
To mirror data in a single direction over an IP connection, use the following configuration:
This diagram illustrates a unidirectional Source-to-Destination AIM configuration. Storage server SDS-A is configured as the Source system. Storage server SDS-B is configured as the Destination system. On SDS-A, changed data from the Source virtual volume VolA1 is collected in the Source buffer and asynchronously mirrored over an IP-based connection to the Destination buffer on SDS-B, where it is destaged to the Destination virtual volume VolB1. Use this configuration to transfer data from one storage server to another.
Note: AIM can also be configured to send data over an IP connection in a bidirectional manner.
