Pool Properties
This dialog box displays the properties assigned to the pool and the current NMV and SAU information.
Use this dialog box to change the pool name or the Alert Capacity Threshold for pools.
To view or change pool properties:

Open the Disk Manager snap-in.

In NMV Pools, select a pool, and choose Properties from the context menu.

In the Pool Properties dialog box, make the desired changes to the pool name or alert capacity threshold and click OK.

Apply the configuration changes.
The Pool Properties dialog box contains the following information:

Name |
Pool name. |
Pool ID |
Identification number of the pool. |
Number of Managed Volumes |
Number of NMVs created from the pool. |
Size |
Total size of the pool, displayed in MB. |
Allocated Storage |
Amount of storage allocated in the pool, displayed in megabytes. |
Storage Unit Size |
The SAU size is defined when the pool is created. An SAU is the minimum amount of storage allocated from an NMV pool. It is the equivalent of a block of storage on a physical disk. |
Alert Capacity Threshold |
The point, represented as a percentage of storage used in pools, at which a low disk space alert will be issued in the Event log, on a per-pool basis. You will not be able to add NMVs if the pool usage is greater than this threshold. Refer to Changing Alert Capacity Threshold. |
Type |
Erase Reclaimed Storage Units – After NMVs are deleted, the storage units are “reclaimed.” During this process zeros will be written to the storage. |
