Mapping |
Disk used in Virtual Volume. |
Denotes a volume that is displaying a larger size than the size recognized in the previous refresh or apply. (A possible reason for the size change may be that a partition has been extended on the disk.) The size of the virtual volume created from this volume can be extended. |
Disk in Volume ID pane. |
Disk in Volume ID pane with active I/O (sometimes referred to as a spinning disk) |
Denotes a volume that is displaying a larger size than the size recognized in the previous refresh or apply. (A possible reason for the size change may be that a partition has been extended on the disk.) |
When a virtual volume is deleted, the volumes that comprised that virtual volume cannot be used in another virtual volume until they are cleaned or erased. This ensures that the application data that is stored on that volume cannot be inadvertently used in a new virtual volume and mapped to an unauthorized host, where the information can be read. After applying the configuration, you can delete or reuse these volumes. |
